Marjorie D. Lewis, 97, of Whitman, Massachusetts died on April 17th at home after a period of declining health.
Born in Cambridge, Massachusetts in 1925, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Emily (Cotie) Bonvie.
Marjorie was raised and educated in Cambridge Mass. She married Allen C. Lewis and together they had three children. They lived in Cambridge prior to building a home and moving to Whitman.
Marjorie was a devoted homemaker to her loving family. She was an amazing cook who loved hosting and entertaining friends and family. Marjorie enjoyed traveling, including trips to visit her family in California, vacations with her sister, and annual weekend trips to Foxwoods. There was nothing more important to her than spending quality time with her siblings, children, and grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Marjorie was predeceased by her loving husband of 62 years, Allen, and her daughter, Elaine; her sister Pearl Roust, and brothers Clifford, Francis, and Russell Bonvie.
Marjorie leaves behind two children, Paul Lewis of Whitman and David Lewis and wife Joan Lewis of Easton. She also leaves her son-in-law, Erin Erdahl of Long Beach, California. Marjorie will be warmly remembered by her loving grandchildren, Kristie Larison, Lauren Erdahl, Matthew, Erica, and Sarah Lewis, and her two great grandchildren, Karissa, and Kara Larison. She also leaves many nieces and nephews.
Burial services will be private.
