Corinne Audrey Savery died on April 11, 2023 at the age of 81 in her home surrounded by her loving family.
Corinne was born on January 29, 1942 in Queens, NY to the Reverend Clifford and Audrey Ward. She was a 1959 graduate of Harwich High School. She worked as a CNA and later as a school bus driver with Pina Bus Lines and Barnstable Public Schools. Up until the year before her passing, the majority of her career was spent as a bus driver and later as Lead Dispatcher with Cape Cod Collaborative, despite many attempts at retirement. She enjoyed crafting and volunteered at the Cape Cancer Thrift Shop in her later years.
Corinne was loving, generous, and endlessly looked out for everyone else. Her sharp sense of humor always made the room fill with laughter, even in her final days. Her Cape Cod home, which she shared with her mother for 30 years, was a welcoming space for numerous family gatherings of all generations, and was always filled with love, laughter, and an abundance of food.
Corinne was predeceased by the love of her life, Edward Savery, whom she was married to for 25 years, as well as her former husband, Robert Frazel, Sr.
She is survived by her children, Richard Frazel (Heather) of Forestdale, MA, Melinda Mlodzienski (Thomas) of Macedon, NY, and predeceased by Robert Frazel Jr. of St. Petersburg, FL. She is also survived by her stepchildren, Patricia Fournier of Monroe, NC, Marsha Ouimette (Peter) of Venice, FL, Robert Savery (Spencer) of Ramseur, NC, and Dana Savery (Laurie) of Plymouth, MA, as well as her siblings, Richard Ward (Tami) of Bluffton, SC, Jonathan Ward (Sharon) of Stanwood, WA, Judith Ward (Kathy) of Harwich, MA, and predeceased by Patricia Post of Stafford Springs, CT. Corinne adored her 8 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life is planned for family and close friends at a later date. Memorial donations in Corinne’s name may be made to the Cape Cancer Thrift Shop, Fidelis Hospice, or any animal shelter of your choosing.
