OXFORD – Barbara V. (Mauke) Bandy, 85, died Thursday, April 13, 2023 in Brookside Rehab & Nursing Center after a period of declining health.
She leaves a daughter, Donna M. Lee with whom she lived; a son, William E. Bandy, Jr. and his wife Carol of Webster; and 3 grandchildren, Destiny and Brittney Bandy and William “Will” Lee. She was preceded in death by her brother Henry “Sonny” Mauke and by her sister Evelyn.
She was born on April 28, 1937 in Webster, the daughter of Henry and Catherine (Paproch) Mauke and lived in Webster most of her life. She moved to Oxford 6 years ago.
Barbara first worked at the American Optical Company in Southbridge and then became the bar manager at the Webster Fish & Game for 30 years before she retired.
She had a fondness for animals, feeding the birds and stray cats. She loved her family.
No funeral services are planned. Arrangements are under the direction of Scanlon Funeral Service, 38 East Main Street.
