We have set up a fund for Luna with the help of Taupa for her camp expenses and a visit to Boston (this time on a plane). We are so grateful for all of those who donated to NE Wildlife as such a noble cause, but if anyone would like to contribute to our Luna's camp fund:
Luna Verselis c/o Taupa Credit Union 368 W Broadway (PO Box 95) South Boston MA 02127 or through my Venmo account @Daiva-Verselis.
We would like to thank everyone who in any way touched during our time of grief due to the loss of our beloved Lukas. All of those who came to the funeral, participated and helped in countless ways, who reached out by mail, donations or phone at this time of pain, you are appreciated. The outpouring of love has touched us deeply and we are go grateful for each and every one of you. They say it takes a village, and times like this, it's hard to imagine life without the love of our “village.”
The sparkle of light, many of you saw during the funeral from our little Luna. Her grandparents drove 22 hours to say good bye to daddy, and I am constantly impressed by their love and kindness. In our grief we found comfort in Luna’s beautiful blue eyes (she claims gotten from her daddy) and innocent smile that warmed our hearts with unconditional love. Coming from a small town in Arkansas, she was overwhelmed by the number of people, many who spoke to her in Lithuanian, excitedly embracing her ethnic roots. She is now even more motivated to go to Camp Neringa this summer, unfortunately without Lukas, Grandpa Sig’s shoed her his laboratory while here, and sporting a slightly oversized lab coat, she promised to grow into it some day, and follow in his footsteps as a scientist at Harvard.
