CORNISH- Lloyd Elwin Sargent, age 94, passed away on April 8, 2023, at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House.
He was born at home in Cornish, on Sept. 14, 1928, a son of the late Harry and Lena (Libby) Sargent.
Lloyd worked as an electrician for most of his life, retiring at age 90. Lloyd served as the electrician at the
Ossipee Valley Fairgrounds for many years. He will be remembered for his love of Country Western,
Bluegrass music, woodworking and tending to his apple and pear trees.
Lloyd was also a fixture at the Sacopee Valley House of Pizza where he ate his three meals a day and was
affectionately known as "Sarge!"
He is predeceased by all his siblings; Corliss Sargent, Loraine Southworth, Adelene Moody, Thelma Cook.
Lloyd is survived by his children; Philip Sargent of Cornish and Joyce Bouchey and her husband Ken of
Cornish; grandchildren; Rayleen, Andrea, Jaime, Nicole, Kenny; great grandchildren; Alexis, Paige, Elyse,
Jeremiah, Addisen, Brooklyn, and Bristol. And many nieces and nephews. Also surviving, is Lloyd's
first wife, Geneva Jordan.
A graveside service will be held on Sunday, April 30th at 1:00 pm at Porter Village Cemetery, Old County
Rd. in Porter.
