WEBSTER – Catherine E. (Foux) Mayo, 79, passed was Tuesday, April 11, 2023 in the presence of her daughter Penny, her son-in-law Bernard and her grandson Justin after a long illness. Her husband of 8 years, Philip Edward Mayo, Sr., died in 1979.
She leaves 5 children, Richard Foux, Sr. and Dwight E. Maloon, both of Connecticut, Amy Blazensky and her husband Eugene of Dayville, CT, Philip Edward Mayo, Jr. of the Philippines, and Penny L. Morrissey and her husband Bernard with whom she lived; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandson; 2 brothers, Roland Foux, Sr. of Maine and Paul Foux of Pennsylvania; 2 sisters, Graceanne Winkler of Binghamton, NY and Elaine Rickaby of Dayville, CT; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a daughter Sara Maloon in 1969, by her 2 brothers Duane and Robert and by 2 sisters Mona and Margaret. She also leaves her beloved black lab Jazzy.
She was born on April 16, 1943 in Mehoopany, PA a daughter of Nathan and Catherine (Wright) Foux. She moved to Thompson, CT in 1953 and then lived in Putnam, CT for many years before moving to Webster in 2011.
Mrs. Mayo was a homemaker. She liked crocheting and spending time with family and friends and Jazzy.
