William Edward Frey of 75 Myrtle Street, Somerville, MA died at Massachusetts General Hospital on April 7, 2023.
William "Bill” Frey was born December 6, 1931 in Boston, Massachusetts. He lived his entire life as a resident of Somerville, Massachusetts. After his service as a medic in the Korean War, he returned home to his wife Jennie "Blanco" and 5 children, William Michael, Robert Francis, Cheryl Ann Norton, Joanne Marie Goodrich, and Karen Berniche. He left behind amazing grandchildren, Alison Salem, Theresa Norton, Brandon Berniche, Ashley Berniche and a great granddaughter, Hannah Salem.
Bill continued his work as a painter and wall paperer. Which became a family business. His religion was important to him as he practice in the catholic faith by attending St. Ann’s parish in Somerville at 4 o'clock every Saturday. In his last days, he believed that there was a heaven waiting for him as he asked for forgiveness.
A graveside service will be held at Puritan Lawn Cemetery, Peabody, MA at 1:30 pm on Thursday, April 13, 2023.
