Joyce Kay (Noble) Cogswell, 80, of Anderson passed away on April 4, 2023 in Beaumont Healthcare following an extended illness.
She was born on April 28, 1942 in Muncie, IN to Paul Delbert and Doris Virginia (Hofherr) Noble. She graduated from Highland High School in the class of 1960.
She worked at Delco Remy in production for over 30 years and retired in 1997.
She was a member of UAW 662.
She was a member of Bethany Christian Church. She loved shopping and providing for her family, hosting gatherings at her home, cooking especially her favorite dishes beef and noodles and bean salad, an avid Cincinnati Reds fan, attending all of her children and grandchildren sporting events.
She was survived by her husband, Donald Charles Cogswell of Anderson whom she married on May 28, 1960; her daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Brian Touro of Bradenton, FL; a brother, Paul (Cathy) Noble of Anderson; two sisters, Sheila (Ernie) Ryan of Anderson and Carolyn McGuire of Georgia; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Evelyn (Frank) Shekell of Anderson; Anna Hughes of Mishawaka; and Ken Cogswell of Michigan; six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Philip C. Cogswell, Sr.
A funeral service will be at 2:00pm on Thursday at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Bob Bell officiating. Burial will follow in Bronnenberg Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 12:00pm – 2:00pm on Thursday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to The Parkinson’s Foundation.
