Barbara H. (Nichols) Henriques, 91, of New Bedford died April 7, 2023 at Alden Court.
She was the wife of the late Albert E. Henriques, and the mother of the late Cynthia Mae Henriques.
Born in New Bedford, she was the daughter of the late Alton W.T. and Euphemia (MacDonald) Nichols. Barbara was a lifelong resident of New Bedford.
She was formerly employed By Aerovox, Ellis' Bakery and Sacred Heart Nursing Home.
While she didn't have many hobbies to speak of, her hobby was the total dedication, love and enjoyment of her family.
Survivors include her 2 sons, Steven Henriques and Jeffrey Henriques, both of New Bedford along with her daughters-in-law, Kellie J. Henriques and Faith Henriques; sister, Daune Smith of Fairhaven; 5 grandchildren, Kellie Henriques, Kerrie Henriques, Scott Henriques, Jacob Henriques and Matthew Henriques; 9 great-grandchildren a great-great grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
Her visiting hour will be held on Thursday, April 13th from 10:30 to 11:30 AM with a prayer service at 11:30 AM in the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St. New Bedford, MA. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
