Obituary

“Flowers in her hair…..flowers everywhere……..Peace, love and flowerpower was Linda's motto! She loved you to the moon and back and across the whole entire universe!
Linda A. Beauchemin, 67, of Millville died Saturday April 1, 2023 at Milford Regional Medical Center. Linda would have laughed so hard that she'd pee her pants knowing she passed away on April Fool’s Day! Boy, did she get the last laugh! Linda loved to laugh her ass off about everything and sometimes everyone! Linda came kicking and screaming into the world on August 31, 1955 in Woonsocket. Linda was born in the aftermath of the Great Flood of 1955, that flooded the old Social ‘Coin area of Woonsocket. It figures that Linda brought a flood with her – she flooded the world with her laughter and love.
Linda’s parents were the late Sylvio and Leona (Dussault) Bourcier. Linda was a graduate of Woonsocket High School class of 1973. Over the years she lived in Woonsocket, Blackstone, Mapleville and resided in Millville for the past 30 years.
In her younger years Linda was one of the originals working at Stewie's Diner and Catering. From its very inception Linda found a home in that little diner on Main St. in Blackstone. You could find her Cooking up some great meals, loving and antagonizing her patrons equally. To her they were an intricate part of her big family circle. She was Stewie and Dawn Badeau’s sidekick and you would most certainly want front row tickets to witness the show.
As a child of the 60s and 70s you bet Linda was a “Hippie” and a “Flower Child”, and damn proud of it. You would often catch her flashing you the finger or a peace sign with a wink and a smile. Linda knew how to grab life by the balls and live each and every day to the fullest.
Linda had a special place in her heart for animals and right in the middle of that great big heart of hers was reserved for her dog Max. Linda was a dog-mom to Max, a 6 year old Biewer, Yorkie, Linda and Max were inseparable. Linda’s life was truly defined by her love for her children and grandchildren. She reveled in their life adventures and was right by their side for every milestone. Linda was not just a mom to her own kids but she was like a mom to so many others. Her door was always open, just like her heart. If you needed a helping hand you could always count on Linda. Her favorite role in life was being a “Nana” and “Auntie” (and “Pinda” to her sisters). She was a true friend indeed. You can remember Linda with a smile and a laugh because that is what she would want you to do. Linda will be remembered as a woman who rode life like a rollercoaster, laughing out loud all the way. She didn’t take life too seriously, there’s no reason to! We, her family, will just come right out and say it, Linda was funny as fuck! (This is where Linda would insert a smiley face emoji!) That might not be all that “appropriate” for an obituary but this is Linda’s obituary and she wouldn’t have it any other way.
Linda was the mom of Jason Beauchemin who resides in Millville with his companion April Gibson (and April’s children Brandin, Tyler and Brooke Gibson) and Tracey Beauchemin who resides in Woonsocket with her companion Eric Kay. She was the grandmother of Evin, Brandon, Kyara, and Tyler Beauchemin. She was the sister of Ronald, Michael, David, and Dennis Bourcier, Diane Fafard, Anne-Marie Hallberg and Jacqueline Bourcier and the late Richard Bourcier and Shirley Ruhland. Linda is also survived by her extended family of many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Linda’s family will hold a Celebration of her Life on Sunday, April 23rd at 2:00 pm at the Polish Hall located on 37 Ironside St. Millville Ma 01529 In lieu of flowers and in honor of Linda’s love for animals please consider a donation to the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
