Carol A. Egan, 71

Carol A. (Kelly) Egan, age 71, of Mansfield, passed away in the comfort of her home, surrounded by her loving family on Friday, April 7, 2023. She was the beloved wife of Francis J. “Frank” Egan, Jr., to whom she was wed for over forty years.
Born in Boston, MA on May 23, 1951, she was a loving daughter of the late William H. “Harpo” Kelly and Elizabeth A. “Betty” (O’Neil) Kelly.
Carol grew up in Brookline and was a 1969 graduate of Brookline High School. She was a dedicated and loving homemaker to her adoring family, who were her greatest gift in life. She was the world’s most outstanding grandmother and always a guiding light in her grandchildren’s lives. Carol will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her and the special memories she created in life will live on as a sense of comfort and strength in their hearts and minds forever.
A resident of Mansfield for the past four years, Carol enjoyed taking long walks, times spent in Plymouth and shopping at T.J. Maxx and Marshall’s Department Stores. Carol will always be fondly remembered for her exceptional cooking skills and remarkable sense of humor.
In addition to her husband, she is also survived by her devoted children: James J. Egan and his wife Jeanne of Mansfield and Kelly A. Kozik and her husband Kevin “Grover” of Medway. She was the cherished grandmother of Hannah E. Egan of Mansfield and Cullen F. Egan of Mansfield. She was the dear sister of Janis Mahon of Brookline, James Kelly and his wife Colleen of Shirley and the late William “Willie” Kelly who is survived by his wife Diane Kelly of Brockton. She is also survived by her loving nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend visiting hours on Saturday, April 15th from 3:00-5:00 P.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home, 55 North Main Street, Mansfield. Burial will be private.
