Alan Charles Carver, of Oxnard, California, passed away at the age of 76 after a 16-year battle with leukemia. Alan was born to Bill and Marcel Carver in 1947 in Salt Lake City, Utah. After graduating from Highland High School in 1965, Alan enlisted in the United States Coast Guard and began an adventure that would last his entire life. Alan was preceded in death by his parents and his first wife, Susan. He is survived by his companion of 22 years, Maree Penhart, his brothers Dean (Deb) Carver, Reed (Linda) Carver, his children Brian (Stephanie) Carver, Jeanette Carver, Spencer (Bergen) Penhart and Brad Penhart, and his grandchildren Chloe (Jeffrey) Seamons, Graeme Carver, Kai Carver, Jaynie Penhart, and Campbell Penhart. The family extends their gratitude to doctors and staff at St. John’s Regional Hospital of Oxnard for their excellent and compassionate care. Burial at sea will be performed by the US Coast Guard.
