Obituary

It is with great heartfelt sorrow that we announce the sudden and unexpected passing of Mary (Marie C. Lupica) Millett of Brockton, MA, on April 2, 2023, surrounded by her loving children. She is the beloved wife of the late Chester J. Millett, Jr. whom she was married to for 65 loving years.

Mary is predeceased by her parent's Gregorio and Maria Rosa (Mercurio) Lupica; her treasured sister Elizabeth (Lupica) Mahoney and brother Nicholas "Leo" Lupica. She is survived by her loving sister-in-law Mary Lupica of New York, formally of RI.

Mary is the amazing, loving Mother of eight children, Cathrine Shea, of Brockton; Ann Rudokas and husband John of Bridgewater; Mary Carraggi and husband Dennis of Bridgewater; Chester Millett, III of Westport; John Millett and wife Carolyn of Orleans; George Millett and wife Stephanie of East Bridgewater; Elizabeth Kelleher and husband Michael of Raynham; Michael Millett and wife Elizabeth of Berkley. Mary leaves behind her loving grandchildren Lisa Shea, Elizabeth Rudokas, Jillian Rudokas, Nicole Carraggi, Kelsey Carraggi, Kathryn Carraggi, Chester Millett IV and his wife Cathy; Andrew Millett and Hefeeza Lewis; Christopher Millett, Kevin MacKeen and his wife Jennifer; Scott MacKeen and Sara Costello; Sean Millett and his wife Mehgan; Mark Millett and his fiancé Lauren; Colleen Millett and Peter Scharf; Briana Millett, Brittany McHugh and her husband Ryan; and Kiley Millett. Great Grandchildren Hailey Millett, Nora Millett, Colin MacKeen, Kaden MacKeen, Emerson Callahan, Dylan Costello-MacKeen, Quinn Millett, Brooklyn McHugh, Amelia McHugh, Henry McHugh, Wilhelmina Millett Lewis and Evangeline Millett Lewis. She was the loving aunt of many nieces and nephews.

Mary was a graduate of Brockton High School class of 1951 and attended Bridgewater State College. She worked as a model, at the Paramount Rugs, as an operator for the telephone company; and did visual and hearing tests for students in the Brockton Public School System.

Mary excelled at life. She had a way of making everyone feel special, inspired you to pursue your dreams and to make the best of yourself. She was kind and gracious to everyone she came in contact with. Mary was always surrounded by her family, hosting dinners with her famous meatballs and festivities with all the generations. Everyone who met Mary felt the presence of her love.

There will be a private wake for family members on Monday April 10, 2023, at the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte. 123) Brockton, MA 02301.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral Mass at Our Lady of Lourdes, 433 West Street, Brockton, MA at 10:30am, Monday, April 10th. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
