CHICOPEE – Jerome F. Curran, 82, of the Fairview section of Chicopee, was Called Safely Home on Wednesday, April 5, 2023. He passed into Eternal Life at home surrounded by the care and comfort of his loving family. He was born in Holyoke on January 27, 1941, a beloved son of the late Patrick and Anne (Moore) Curran. He was raised in Holyoke, graduated from Holyoke Trade High School and had moved to Fairview in 1970 where he lived the remainder of his life. He was employed as a Plate Maker at the former Hano Business Forms in Springfield. He was a communicant of Saint Anne Church in Chicopee. During his leisure time, he enjoyed being at home and playing cribbage. One of his greatest joys was spending time with his granddaughter, Kailey. He was predeceased by his beloved wife and best friend, Jayne M. (Griffin) Curran. They were married on July 11, 1970 at Blessed Sacrament Church in Holyoke and were blessed with over 50 years of happiness together. He leaves his two loving children, Kelley A. Leclerc of Wilbraham and Daniel J. Curran and his fiancé, Michael White, of Springfield; his cherished granddaughter, Kailey E. Leclerc of Wilbraham; and his extended family members and friends. In addition to his parents and wife, he was predeceased by his loving son-in-law, Ernest L. “Buddy” Leclerc who was Called Home on September 17, 2003; his two dear brothers, Thomas Curran and his wife, Shirley, and James Curran and his wife, Monique; and his dear sister, Margaret St. Lawrence and her husband, Robert. His relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, April 15, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at Saint Anne Church, 30 College Street, Chicopee, MA 01020, (please meet directly at the Church). His Burial will follow the Mass at Saint Jerome Cemetery, 1666 Northampton Street, Holyoke, MA 01040. There are no visiting hours.
