Crosbie, Ethlyn Ann of Wellesley passed away on April 4, 2023. Born in Rockford IL on December 18, 1930 to George and Ethelyn (Spath) Dohm, Ann grew up with five siblings and graduated from Marquette University, majoring in Sociology. Not content to settle back in her hometown, Ann joined the U.S. State Department and was assigned to work in the American Embassy in Havana, Cuba. There she met her husband, Ronald Locke Crosbie (1927-2004), and married in 1956. They made their home in Santiago until the Cuban Revolution uprooted them in 1960. They then lived in Brazil, Argentina, England, Florida, and settled in Sherborn, MA. They raised four daughters, Catherine (John Lentz), Caroline (Jaime Benavente), Marilyn (Joseph Basile), and Allison (Mark Careaga). Ann and Ron traveled the world with their girls in tow. Stateside, they loved to hit the road, whether it was lunch in Maine or a road trip to the Carolinas to visit friends. Ann loved to spoil her three granddaughters, grandson, and great grandson. She is also survived by her sister Helen Kay and brother Patrick as well as many nieces and nephews. As a friend of Ann’s, you were assured of a lot of laughs, a shoulder to lean on, and the best Manhattans you’ll ever have.
