Kenneth M. Masone of Whitman, passed away unexpectedly on April 4, 2023. He is survived by his brothers, Robert Masone of Hingham, Paul Masone of New Hampshire and his sister Judi Novack of Florida. He is predeceased by his parents, Vincent & Rose Masone of Holbrook and his older brother Vincent Masone of Whitman. Kenny was born June 2, 1954 in Boston, Massachusetts where he attended a “special needs” school.
After moving to Holbrook, Kenny attended the South Shore ARC workshop for many years. He often spoke of his “big boss” Anne, whom he adored. (We know the feeling was mutual.) He often spoke of his many girlfriends and friends at the workshop. He always said he had to go to work – it was a fun place for him to spend his time.
Kenny enjoyed old Popeye cartoons and loved, loved, loved Elvis Presley. He would often grab his pretend microphone and sing “I love you” to anyone who would listen. He liked telling the same joke about the “chicken who crossed the road”. He will be buried in his dress blues as he always said that he was a cop and would pick you up on his cop motorcycle. Kenny was, if nothing else, entertaining.
He will be missed by all who knew him – he had a “special” way about him. Kenny is survived by several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to attend his visiting hours on Wednesday April 12 from 4:00-7:00 PM in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street (Rte. 58 @ the rotary) Whitman, and his funeral services on Thursday April 13 at 9:45 AM from the Chapel, followed by a funeral Mass at 10:30 AM in the Holy Ghost Church, Whitman. Burial will follow in the Saint Michael Cemetery, Roslindale.
