In Norwell, April 2nd 2023, on a sunny and peaceful Sunday afternoon Mary Elenor Cronan at the age of 83 peacefully passed away after a brief illness. Ellie was the beloved wife of the late William Leo Cronan. She was born, raised and lived in Taunton her entire life. The daughter of the late Edward and Theresa (Cochrane) Foley. Ellie retired from NStar in 2010. Ellie was a proud member of the Taunton Civic Chorus and her church choir. She enjoyed crafting, knitting, jewelry making and spending time with her family. Ellie is survived by her loving children William Edward Cronan and Beth Ann Cronan of Cape Coral, Florida and James Cronan and his wife Paula Ferris Cronan of Weymouth. Ellie leaves her brother Peter Foley, and her late siblings Pauline LeGrown, Pat Glenn, Peg Martin and Stephen Foley. Ellie also leaves behind her two grandchildren Kera A. Baake and Liam E. Cronan. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at Saint Nicholas of Myra Catholic Church in No Dighton on Wednesday April 12th, 2023 at 10 AM. Interment St Francis Cemetery in Taunton.
