Moses Soto Flores, 90, of Ventura, passed away peacefully at the comfort of his home on March 28, 2023. Moses, known at Moe, was born to William and Josephine Flores on December 31, 1932 in Camarillo, CA.
Moses was employed by the Ventura County Housing Authority for 25 years and enjoyed his adventures of growing up on the Camarillo Ranch and caring for the horses. He loved telling stories of his life on the Camarillo ranch to his children, grandchildren and friends. He enjoyed watching baseball, boxing, watching classic tv shows, going fishing and taking his children to the movie drive-in in his pickup truck. He will be remembered for always saying “Dios te lo pague” whenever he received a gift from his children. Moses will be missed by all his family and friends but his stories will live on in their hearts.
Moses is survived by his wife, Barbara (Nena) of 67 years, Children: Ernie (Gloria), Rudy (Yvonne), Darlene, (Bernard+) Bunggay, Marco (Frances), Lisa (Carlos) Menzor, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Moses was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, grandson Angel Ramon Flores and son in law Bernard Bunggay.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, April 16th, 2023 at the Boyko & Reardon Telegraph Road Mortuary & Cremation, 15 Teloma Drive, Ventura, CA., with doors opening at 12:00 pm until 5:00 pm with a Celebration of Life Reflection at 4:00 pm. Family and friends are welcome to attend and share thoughts, prayers and fondest moments in his memory.
