Carolyn Pearl (Menear) Goodwin, 80, passed away Thursday, March 30, 2023, at Gardner Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. She was the longtime companion of William Wakefield with whom she shared the last 40 years.
Born October 26, 1942, in Billerica, she was a daughter of the late Eustace D. Menear and the late Ruth A. (Erickson) Menear and was raised and educated in Billerica graduating from Billerica High School. She made her home in Billerica for many years before residing in Lowell and worked as a Hospice Case worker through Emerson Hospital before her retirement.
She is survived by her children, Dawn MacKenzie and her husband, Robert, of Athol, Charles Goodwin and his wife, Rachel, of Billerica, Christina Goodwin and her husband, Michael Dube, of Templeton, Lisa Streechon and her husband, Stephen, of Casco, ME, and Scott Goodwin and his fiancé, Tenia of Lowell; her grandchildren, Chuck, Joey, Cassandra, Kristina, Robert, Kacey, Ashley, Aaron, Ayden, Makayla, Corey, Chloe, and Alanna, Kaelyn, Caileigh & Chloe Goodwin, Alana Goodwin; several great grandchildren; her brothers and sisters, Alice, Billy, Paula, Stacey, and Tracey; as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was also the mother of the late Marcus Goodwin; grandmother of the late Marcus Goodwin Jr.; and sister of the late Gordon Menear, the late Paul Menear, and the late Bradley Menear.
On Friday, April 7, 2023 you are invited to join the family for her funeral ceremony at 10 a.m. at Fox Hill Cemetery (Section K), 130 Andover Road, Billerica.
