SPRINGFIELD - Daniel P. "Bondo" Maxwell, 68, of the Hungry Hill section of Springfield, was Called Safely Home on Sunday, April 2, 2023. He passed into Eternal Life at home surrounded by all the memories that he loved and cherished. He was born in Springfield on March 30, 1955, a beloved son of the late George M. and Mary Ellen (Murphy) Maxwell. He was raised in Springfield, graduated from the former Cathedral High School in Springfield in 1973 and was a lifelong resident of Springfield. He was employed as a Production Worker and Security Guard at the former American Bosch in Springfield. He had also worked as a former Springfield Park Ranger. He was a communicant of the former Our Lady of Hope Church in Springfield. During his leisure time, he enjoyed swimming at the Springfield Boy's Club and visiting with friends at the City Line Cafe in Springfield. Above all, he loved spending time with his family and his many friends. He leaves his loving brother, George M. "Breeze" Maxwell and his wife, Nikki, of Longmeadow; his loving sister, Donna M. Leydon and her husband, William, of Yarmouth Port; his cherished nephews and nieces, Erin and James Maxwell, Sarah Leydon and her partner, Christopher Pacheco, and John Leydon and his fiancee, Melissa Hine; his cherished grand nephew, John Christopher Pacheco; and his many dear extended family members and friends.
