Jessica A. (Powers) Germain, 37, died unexpectedly at home on Tuesday, March 28, 2023. She was the daughter of Gurdon “Bud” Powers and Brenda Powers of Charlton. She was also the wife of Shaun T. Germain of Dudley and the mother of a daughter, Zelena.
She leaves behind siblings: Gurdon “Chip” Powers, Brian Powers, Kelly Szela and her husband Mark, all of Charlton, Daniel Powers of Ohio, Shawn Powers of New Hampshire and Lindsey Wilcox of the Czech Republic, as well as biological mother Linda Mason of Colorado. She also will be greatly missed by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.
Jessica was born in Worcester and graduated from Shepherd Hill in Dudley. She enjoyed watching her shows (especially Supernatural), playing video games on her phone, saving mini-brand collectibles and finding new recipes to try. She enjoyed all types of astrology and reading Dean Koontz novels. She was a great cook and her family always looked forward to the homemade candies that she made for Christmas. Her favorite activity was spending time with her young daughter whom she adored, watching Disney movies and showing her how to cook. Jessica was kind and loving and left a bit of her sunny smile with everyone she met.
There will be no calling hours but a celebration of her life will be held for family at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations will be accepted for the Zelena Germain Scholarship Fund, in care of Webster First Federal Credit Union, 41 E. Main St., Webster, MA, or www.websterfirst.com.
