Cameron Decker Clark, age 57, previously of Salem, Massachusetts, died unexpectedly on March 10th, 2023 at his home in Chestnut Hill, MA due to a cardiac condition.
He is predeceased by his father Robert Clark, his mother Daphne (ne´e Kinsey) Clark, and his sister Erica Clark. He is survived by his brother, Robert Clark; his sister, Cassia Schuck; his former spouse, Gretchen Buckley; and his two children, Ian and Abigail Clark.
Cameron was a native of Birmingham, Michigan. During his youth, “Cam” was a successful baseball player and an active member of his local Cub Scout troop. With the purchase of a toy drum set and the discovery of his older sibling’s Beatles albums, he found his passion for the musical arts and learned how to play multiple instruments by the time he was in middle school.
Cameron and his family moved to Marblehead, Massachusetts in 1981. At Marblehead High School, “Ron” was very active in the school’s music programs. He was a member of the marching band, where he played the electric bass. After graduating in 1984, he attended Berklee College of Music for a short time. He continued to play music throughout the late 80’s and early 90’s in several local live bands, including The Cheap Dates, The Rising Sun, and Shades of Grey, where he played both the electric bass and electric guitar.
Cameron was employed with Aerus LLC for over 20 years in a variety of roles such as salesman, repair technician, and manager. In recent years, he was employed with various medical organizations as a customer service representative. Cameron and his family lived in Salem, Massachusetts for most of his adult life.
Cameron may best be known for his deep love of Michigan football, the Detroit Tigers, Broadway musicals, a great debate, and a fine steak dinner.
