SOCORRO ESTRADA MORALES, 79, of Oxnard, California, passed away on March 25th, 2023 in Ventura, California. Socorro was born in Chihuahua, Mexico to Adolfo Marquez Estrada and Eva Loya Gomez on May 11th 1943. She attended Oxnard High School, Class of 1961. She enjoyed everything life offered her. Being a wife, mother, daughter, and especially being a Great Great-grandmother! An achievement she was most proud of was becoming an official U.S. Citizen in 2020. She had the uncommon valor of caring for her aging parents until their death. After having laid her parents to rest, she soon began working at Hr Block as a Tax Preparer. She loved her job, the people, her clients, looking forward to every tax season having just completed 25 successful years.
Socorro loved Jesus Christ and believed the Word of God was the foundation of Christianity. She served in various capacities during her stronger years: Nursery, Ushering, Greeting, Hosting Life groups, and wherever she could serve, she would. At the time of her passing, Socorro, attended Victory Outreach Ventura.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to all those who prayed and encouraged them during her last twenty days of hospitalization. We hoped, but our hope is not in vain. We prayed, and our faith remains the same. We believed she would walk out of that hospital and she did. Healed completely, she now rejoices with all those gone before us.
1 Corinthians 15:53-54 For the perishable must clothe itself with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality. When the perishable has been clothed with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality, then the saying that is written will come true: "Death has been swallowed up in victory."
