Anthony M. Vignone, 95, of Franklin, affectionately known as "Zeke", passed away peacefully on March 31, 2023. He was the beloved husband of Massimina (Calise) Vignone with whom he shared 66 years of love and devotion.
He was born in Franklin on November 3, 1927 and lived his entire life in the house he was born in. He was the son of the late Serafino and Margaret (Chiarizio) Vignone. He attended Franklin public schools and graduated Franklin High in 1945. He was also a graduate of Boston College class of 1952 and a graduate of New England School of Law.
In his early adulthood he held many jobs within the town, including butcher and Recreation Department Director. He was a saxophonist in many local jazz bands. Anthony was a WWII veteran and proudly served in the Army Air Corps. He was a practicing attorney in Franklin and Wrentham for many years. He loved spending time with his family, winemaking, gardening, fishing, playing cards and listening to jazz.
He is also survived by his children, Anthony, Gloria, Joseph (Jo-Ann), Janet, John (Constance) Vignone, Maria (Gregory) King, his grandchildren Nicholas (Lindsay), Michael (Alyssa), Jack, Joseph, Gina Vignone as well as 3 great grandchildren, Nico, Vincent and Mia Vignone. He was predeceased by his siblings, Frank Vignone, Josephine Guerra, Daniel Vignone, Mary Lombardi and Nicholas Vignone.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral Wednesday, April 5, commencing from the Charles F. Oteri & Son Funeral Home, 33 Cottage St., Franklin at 10:30 AM followed by a funeral mass at St. Mary's Church, 1 Church Sq., Franklin at 11:30 AM.
Interment with military honors will follow at the parish cemetery.
Calling hours are Tuesday, April 4, from 4-7 PM at the funeral home.
