James R. Harrison, 84, passed away on Monday, March 27, 2023 at Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers. He was the husband of Susan (Brown) Harrison.
Born in Salem on January 23, 1939, he was the son of Frank and Imelda (Beaupre) Harrison. He was raised in Salem and educated in Salem and graduated from St. Joseph Academy, Class of 1957. Jim served his country, during the Vietnam era, in the U.S. Air Force and was Honorably Discharged.
He earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Northeastern University Class of ’72. Jim began his working career as a buyer for Shetland Industries in Salem and retired as Regional Vice President of Sales for HAMO Medical Corporation USA.
Jim was an avid sailor and belonged to the Palmer Cove Yacht Club and was the proud owner of several sailing sloops. He is survived by his wife Susan, a daughter Kimberly and her husband Bill Hildebrand,, a son Christopher and his wife, Lisa, two grandchildren, Abby and Harrison Hildebrand, who are his pride and joy, a brother, Donald and his wife Sharon of Beverly, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and the Class of ’57 Lunch Group.
