Vincent N. Spirito, age 92, of Medford, passed away on Tuesday, March 27th, at the Edith Nourse Rogers Memorial Veteran's Hospital of Bedford. A lifelong Medford resident, he was the son of the late Nicholas and Concetta (Spinetti) Spirito. Vincent proudly served in the Army during the Korean War. After returning to civilian life he worked for many years as a caterer. He was a longtime member of the VFW and the Knights of Columbus.
Vincent was the beloved husband of the late Rita F. (Spera) Spirito, and the devoted father of Doreen Spirito of Medford. He was the dear brother of George Spirito of Georgia and his late wife Sylvia, and a loving uncle to AnnMarie and Lisa Spirito of Georgia. Vincent is also survived by his cherished cousins Anthony and Assunta LaFrazia, and Patty Belanger.
Vincent’s family would like to extend their gratitude to home health aides Suzie, Marie, and all the others who provided loving care in Vincent’s final years, and a special thanks to the staff at the Bedford Veteran’s Hospital for all of their kindness.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Raphael Church, 512 High St., Medford, on Monday, April 3rd at 11 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit with family in the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford from 9 through 10:30 AM. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
