Helen M. (Armstrong) Lucci, a resident of Charlestown, entered into eternal life on Tuesday, March 28, 2023 at the Massachusetts General Hospital, following a sudden illness. She was 66 years of age.
Helen was born in Boston on August 11, 1956, a daughter of the late Edward F. Armstrong and Sonok "Katie" Armstrong. She grew up in Charlestown where she attended St. Mary's Parochial School, the Edwards Middle School, and graduated from Charlestown High School in 1974. Helen had been working as a Pre Certification Coordinator for Mass Eye and Ear for the past 8 years. She previously held various positions throughout Mass General Hospital, as well as with AT&T. Helen was full of life and was always friendly and happy. She was an avid reader who enjoyed listening to celtic music, drawing, scrapbooking, taking road trips, and attending Renaissance Festivals. She was even known to drag race when she was younger. She lived life one day at a time and never took things too seriously. Helen's greatest joy, above all else, was her children.
Helen is the devoted mother of Michael Lucci and Gabrielle Lucci. She is the beloved daughter of the late Edward F. Armstrong and Sonok "Katie" Armstrong. She is the dear sister of Catherine (Armstrong) Krein and her husband Bill, Edward F. Armstrong Jr. and his wife Tina, Joseph Armstrong, and the late Grace Armstrong. She is also survived by nephew, Tre, and niece, Francesca.
