James Charles “J.C.” Brown, 74, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Sunday, March 26, 2023, at his residence.
Graveside services will be held 3 PM, Friday, March 31, 2023, at Evergreen Cemetery, in Fitzgerald, Georgia, with the Rev. Rex Johnson officiating. The family will greet friends following the services at the cemetery.
Mr. Brown was born December 30, 1948, in Fitzgerald, Georgia, to the late Otis Shelton & Annie Dale Ingram Brown. He was a very hard worker and a former employee of Gillman’s and the Ben Hill County Farm. Mr. Brown retired from the county. He loved to sing karaoke.
He is survived by his two sons: Sammy Brown of Rebecca and Warren Brown of Fitzgerald; several other children also survive; several grandchildren, two special grandchildren: Brody Jowers and Payton Jay Brown; his siblings: Johnny Brown, Gene Brown, Mack Brown, Glenda Brown, Wayne Brown, Otis Register and Judy Register; and a special friend, Faye Jowers. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Senters; numerous brothers and sisters and his dog Loco.
