Don Lamar Myers, 66, of Tifton passed away Monday, March 27, 2023, at Tift Regional Medical Center. His funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, March 31, 2023, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Johnathon Walker officiating. Mr. Myers will be laid to rest at Lenox Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, March 31, 2023, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals from 2:00 p.m. until the hour of the service.
Kim Flanigan, Evan Mornis, Carlton Castleberry, Blake Castleberry, Ricky Castleberry and Jason Smith will serve as pallbearers. Danny Ross will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
Born May 7, 1956, in Cook County, Mr. Myers was the son of the late Levy Myers and Mary Evelyn Perry Beverly Myers. He was also preceded in death by one brother, Lawrence D. Beverly. Before retiring, he was a mechanic at Tifton General Tire and loved his job. He had a big heart and loved helping others, especially his nieces, nephews and other members of his family.
Mr. Myers is survived by one step-son, Richard Adams of Fitzgerald; four step-daughters, Kristy Harris, Jessica Adams and Stephanie Phillips, all of Tifton and Kim Espinoza of Cordele; three sisters, Patricia Harris of Tifton, Mary Castleberry of Omega and Laverne Rodgers of Augusta; and many grandchildren.
