Dr. Erhan Erdem, a longtime resident of Andover and beloved husband of Martha (DeSeve) Erdem, passed away at Academy Manor in Andover on Monday morning, March 27, 2023.
Born in Bayramic, Turkey, he was the beloved son of the late Mehmet Cemil and Halide (Erkinay) Erdem. Erhan immigrated to Montreal, Canada, in 1961 and had been employed by St. Mary's Hospital as an anesthesiologist, and then moved to the Boston Eye & Ear Infirmary in 1964. He had also worked for the Holy Family Hospital in Methuen.
In his spare time, he enjoyed woodworking, collecting stamps and was a wonderful cook. He was a member of the Osgood Stamp Club and the Merrimack Valley Bird Club. He will be dearly missed.
Besides his beloved wife, Martha, Erhan is survived by his loving children; Cemil, Inci and Hasan. He was also the brother of the late Perihan Agabigum.
Services will be private.
