Margaret G. (Nicholson) Menard, 98, of Framingham, died Friday, March 24th in Framingham. Her husband of 42 years, Paul J. Menard died in 1999. She is survived by her two sons, Anthony P. Menard of Ashland and Andrew P. Menard and his wife, Lisa Padilla of Denver; two brothers, Fr. John Nicholson of Worcester and James Nicholson of Montgomeryville, PA; one sister, Anne Marie Kiritsy of Worcester; three grandchildren, Ryan Menard, Lani Jiminez and Christina Scaggs and many nephews and nieces. Her brother, Donald Nicholson and three sisters, Sadie Nicholson, (known in religion as Sr. Anne Patrick, SND) Catherine Reen and Mary Nicholson predeceased her.
She was born in Sydney, Nova Scotia the daughter of Patrick and Anne (McPherson) Nicholson. She was a former member of St. George's Parish in Framingham, was an avid reader and sports fan, especially if Tom Brady was playing. Her greatest joy was time spent with her family at their house in Wells, ME.
Margaret spent her later years at Brookdale Cushing Assisted Living where she made new friends and enjoyed various social activities. Margaret loved giving to others, small treats and gifts to all those who helped her or shared a kind word.

Her funeral is Thursday, March 30th from O'CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, with her funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. in St. John's Church, 40 Temple Street. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery. A calling hour will be held from 9:30 until 10:30 a.m. the day of the funeral in the funeral home.
