In Raynham, Edward F. Goldrick, age 98, passed away peacefully in Life Care Center of Raynham following a brief illness on March 26, 2023. Edward was preceded in death by his beloved wife Jennie (Beacienski) Goldrick. He was born in Taunton, the son of the late James & Margaret (Long) Goldrick.
Edward was a lifetime resident of Taunton, He graduated from Monsignor Coyle High School, class of 1942, where he played varsity football and basketball. He then entered the U.S. Navy, serving his country honorably during WWII. While in the service, Edward trained as an electrician first class, serving in the Atlantic and Pacific and a veteran of the Normandy invasion on D. Day and the Omaha Beach Invasion. Edward was one of five brothers that served during WWII. He then was employed as a general foreman for TMLP with 34 years of service.
Edward was a member of the MA Journeyman Electrician License, Holy Rosary Church, where he received the Marian Medal, Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion, Elks, Polish and Portuguese Citizen Clubs and the Maximilian Kolbe Guild.
Edward enjoyed golfing, sports, going to Cape Cod, dining out, visiting his friends at the Polish and Portuguese Clubs, his reunions with his Navy friends, spending time with family and especially his loving grandchildren and his dear friends, the Ciesluk and Korske families.
Edward is survived by his son Daniel Goldrick, his grandchildren, Kara Goldrick and Maureen Ellis, great grandchildren Patrick and Katie Ellis and his daughter in law Kathleen Goldrick and several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, March 30th at Holy Rosary Church in Taunton at 10 am. Visiting hours are kindly omitted. Burial will be at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Taunton.
