Elizabeth E. McKeon, 96, of West Boylston died Thursday, February 9th in Sterling Village. Her husband of 53 years, Matthew C. McKeon died in 2003. She leaves her children, Rebecca Gallagher and her husband, Robert of Worcester, John McKeon of Ft. Myers, FL, Bridget McKeon-Downs of West Boylston, Elizabeth Fernald of Eliot, ME, and Jane Staite of Mt. View, AR; her close friend and neighbor, Rachel Girard; eight grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.
She was born in Worcester the daughter of Alva and Malvina (LaToille) Wood and graduated from Leicester High School in 1944 as Valedictorian. She was a devout member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Church. Elizabeth worked off Iandoli’s Supermarket where she was a secretary for the security department. She liked spending her time reading, and traveling. Elizabeth was athletic and enjoyed skiing, walking and playing tennis.

Her funeral is Saturday, April 1st from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue with a Mass at 10:00 a.m. in St Pius X Church, 1161 Main Street, Leicester. Burial will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Leicester. Calling hours are Friday, March 31st from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
