Alice P. (Pires) Pavao, 95, of New Bedford, passed away Tuesday, March 21, 2023 after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Gilbert R. Pavao.
Born in New Bedford, daughter of the late Louis S. and Sophia Dos Anjos (Botelho) Pires, she lived in New Bedford all of her life.
Alice loved spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed reading in her free time.
Survivors include her son, Elliot Pavao and his wife Mary, of Bristol, RI; her daughter-in-law Susan L. Boehler; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
She is predeceased by her son Gary Pavao; and her sister Mary Simas and her husband Manuel.
Alice's Funeral will be held Tuesday, March 28th at 9AM in the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford and her Funeral Mass will be held in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church at 10 AM. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery. Her visiting hours will be in the funeral home on Monday from 5-7 PM.
