Deborah L. (Holmes) Stewart-Smith, of Middleboro, formerly of East Bridgewater and Quincy, passed away after battling cancer on Wednesday March 22, 2023 at 75 years. She was the loving wife of the late Ronald Stewart and Barry Smith.
Born in Quincy on June 28,1947, she was the daughter of the late Leonard and Louise Holmes.
Debbie attended Quincy Junior College and worked as a legal secretary in Quincy. She continued her career as a Library Technician at the East Bridgewater Public Library and later retired from the John Curtis Library in Hanover.
She enjoyed gardening, traveling and spending time with her family and friends.
Beloved mother of Gregory Smith and his wife Catherine of Bridgewater, and Jason Smith and his wife Michelle of East Bridgewater. Devoted grandmother of Ashley and Ally Smith, and the late Michael Smith. Fondly remembered by her stepchildren Robin (Stewart) Crocker and her late husband Barry of Maine, and Robin’s children Alexandra (Leary) Hatch and Jason Leary, and the late Douglas Stewart.
Family and friends are invited to attend her visiting hours on Friday March 31 from 12:00-2:00 PM in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street (Rte. 58 @ the rotary) Whitman. Burial will be private.
