Isabelle A. “Izzy” (Reynolds) Springhetti, age 86, of Easton, formerly of Brockton, died peacefully on March 21, 2023 at Southeast Rehabilitation & Skilled Care Center. She was the wife of the late Maurice H. “Motty” Springhetti. Isabelle was born in Randolph, daughter of the late Charles E. and Leoda (Hall) Reynolds.
She attended school In Quincy and later Whitman and was a graduate of Whitman Hanson High School, class of 1955. In her younger years, Isabelle enjoyed riding horses on her family’s farm and roller skating. Following her marriage to Maurice, the two settled in Brockton where they raised their four children.
Isabelle was a telephone operator for the Whitman branch of New England Tel & Tel Company and then worked at Garland Corporation for many years. She was known by family and friends for her collection of owl memorabilia. She enjoyed camping with her family, going on bus tours, playing bingo at her local church and going for walks.
Isabelle was the mother of Teresa L. Lothrop of Taunton, Anthony G. Springhetti of Rehoboth and John C. Springhetti and Thomas J. Springhetti both of East Bridgewater. She was the sister of Charles Reynolds of Middleboro and the late Louise Carson and Henry Reynolds. She was the loving grandmother of eight grandchildren: Amanda, Douglas, Evan, Alexa, Derek, Kurt, Kes and John Jr. and great grandmother of seven: Isaac, Grace, Joel, Elliot, Conner, Nora and Jacob. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street on Monday, March 27, from 9:30am-11am, with a funeral service at 11am. Burial will follow at Melrose Cemetery. Donations in Isabelle’s name may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 309 Waverley Oak Road, Waltham, MA 02452.
