Cornelius “Con” O’Callaghan
Connie passed away on Tuesday, March the 21st at home in Milton, Massachusetts surrounded by his family after a lengthy battle with cancer. Connie was born in Coolavokig Macroom Co. Cork, Ireland, he immigrated to Boston with his wife and two children in 1988. Con had many talents and started his own company doing sheet metal and fabrication and in his spare time was a very popular DJ in the Irish community in and around Boston. As one of the founding members of the North American Road Bowling Region, he won two All Ireland Championships and numerous tournaments in Boston, New York and West Virginia.
Connie is survived by his sons Michael and Mark, their mother Margaret, brothers John, Michael, Paddy, and sister Catherine. He was predeceased by his parents Mick and Nellie O’Callaghan of Coolavokig Macroom Co. Cork and his sister Helen and brother Brendon. Dearly missed by his grandchildren Meg, Ian, Tadhg and Niamh, his many nieces and nephews, as well as brother and sister in laws, his relatives and a large circle of friends.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend visiting hours at the William J. Gormley Funeral Home, 2055 Centre St. West Roxbury on Sunday, March 26th from 3-7pm.
