Elvira “Ellie” DeFalco, age 71, of Medford passed away on Tuesday, March 21st, at Massachusetts General Hospital of Boston. Born in Boston’s West End, she was the daughter of the late John P. and Esther (Crivello) DeFalco. Ellie lived in Chelsea before settling in Medford, and was employed for many years as a senior analyst in the financial industry. Ellie loved to travel, and did so extensively. She also enjoyed gathering with her family, visiting casinos, and going out for dinner with her three sisters, who were her whole life.
Ellie was the dear sister of Susan DeStefano and her husband Dan, Joan Shields and her husband Jerry, and Denise DeFalco. She was the loving aunt of Danielle, the late Jon, Eric, Jennifer, Joseph and his partner Seth, Christopher and his wife Kelly, Erica, and Nicholas and his wife Crystal, and the great aunt of Michael, Megan, Aiden, Brendan, Jake, Gianna, Gabriella, Parker and Emi. Ellie was the cherished niece of Augustine "Olga" Coppola, and is also survived by many loving cousins and friends.
A funeral will be held from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford on Monday, March 27th at 10:30 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 441 Fellsway West, Medford, at 11:30 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit with family Sunday, March 26th from 3 through 7 PM. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
