LIMINGTON- Dana “Danny” Alan Gordon SR, age 68, passed away on March 20, 2023, at his home with his loving family by his side after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s disease.
He was born in Torrington, Connecticut on June 7, 1954, son of William and Joan Gordon SR. After graduating from Gorham high school in 1972 he went on to work in the supermarket industry for 42 years.
He married the love of his life Robyn Mowatt in April of 1981. They resided in Gorham maine for 37 where they raised their 2 children and enjoyed spending time with their 5 grandchildren.
He loved doing karate with his two children when they were younger. Dana was an avid golfer and could always be found at the Gorham country club every Saturday and Sunday early morning. He delighted in his yearly golf trip to Myrtle Beach to spend time with his friend Randy.
To fill his days on the off season he spent time watching football and could always be heard by the neighbors cheering on the Patriots.
He spent a great deal of time with his wife going to concerts with friends Jack and Kathy Jo. They also had fun going on cruises, especially a 2 week trip to Alaska.
Friends and family always got many laughs from his jokes. He was famous for his one liners and had a distinct laugh that everyone knew and couldn’t help but smile at when you heard it.
He is predeceased by his father William Gordon SR, a brother William “Billy” Gordon JR, Mother-in-law Betty Mowatt, and nephew Bruce Mowatt ll.
He is survived by his wife Robyn Gordon of Limington, son Dana Gordon JR and partner Ashley O’Donald of Gorham ,daughter Andrea Chiasson and her husband Tim of Hollis, Father-in-law Theodore Mowatt SR of Limington, brothers Theodore Mowatt JR of Limington, Russell Mowatt of Limington, Bruce Mowatt l and his wife Doreen of Standish, his grandchildren Dominick, Desirae, Payten, Brody, Izabella, mother Joan Gordon of Westbrook, and sister Susan Hynes of Westbrook.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday March 30th at Poitras, Neal & York Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 71 Maple St (RT 25) Cornish Maine 04020. Visiting hours will be from 2 to 4 PM with services following directly after. Online condolence messages can be submitted at www.mainefuneral.com
