On March 17, 2023, Manite Marcelin passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home, at the age of 93 years old. She was loved by many. In her over nine decades Manite lived in two countries, born in Anse a Veau, and settling in Boston, Mass since the mid-eighties. She doted on and raised two daughters Marie Roseline Paul and Marie Vania Paul. Endearingly called Gama by her grandchildren Westlyne Bruno, Westphalie Bruno, Yves Peter Duquerette, Yves Story Bruno and Sorailla Duquerette and also known as Grandma Booboo to her great grandchildren Nathaniel Bruno, Jaycion Rollins Malan, Ronayah Queen Philippe, and Violete Manite Bruno.The youngest of eight siblings she is also survived by her eldest sister Suzette Antenor. Manite was a special person who knew the value of a dollar, a healthy lifestyle, and the importance of family. In these past golden years Manite sat on her recliner, Haitian radio on her side, Catholic programming on the television and a telephone in her hand imparting her wisdom and life lessons daily to everyone who would call her from near and abroad. She will be missed but she is watching over us all now from Heaven reminding us "L’ordre ak discipline". May you rest in eternal paradise Manite, we love you.
Manite's family will receive visitors on Saturday April 1, 2023 from 9-10:30 AM in the Joseph Russo Funeral Home, 814 American Legion Highway Roslindale, Followed by a Funeral Mass at 11 AM in Sacred Heart Church, 169 Cummins Highway, Roslindale, MA.
