FALL RIVER… Luis “Louie” H. Raposo, 51, of Fall River passed away March 15, 2023, at Charlton Memorial Hospital.
He was the loving fiancé of April Estrela with whom he had been with for the past four years.
Born in St. Michael, Azores, he was a son of Maria (Ferreira) Raposo of Fall River and the late Joao Raposo. He had moved to Fall River with his family in 1977.
Louie most recently worked in the warehouse and as back-up driver for Pella Windows & Doors in Fall River. He enjoyed going to the gym and doing kickboxing as well as attending his step-daughter’s soccer games. He loved going to the beach, enjoying the sun, and watching the sunset. Louie also enjoyed going for bike rides, ice skating, and playing outdoor sports in the summer. He was known for his love of mixing music. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family and friends.
Along with his fiancée and mother, survivors include his daughter, Ashley Raposo and her companion, Walter Arruda of Fall River; his stepchildren: Zoey Silvester and Xavier Bosco, both of Fall River; his grandson, Raiden Arruda; his brothers: Jose “Joe” Raposo of Fall River, Joao “John” Raposo of Somerset, Gilberto “Gil” Raposo of Fall River, and Carlos Raposo of Swansea; his sisters: Odette Branco and Louisa Maura, both of Fall River and many nieces and nephews.
Service to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Sunday, March 26, 2023, at 6 PM at South Coast Funeral Home, 1555 Pleasant Street Fall River, MA 02723. Visitation will be held Sunday from 3 - 6 PM, prior to the service.
