HANNON, Leo L. of West Roxbury passed away peacefully March 17th 2023.
Leo was born on January 08th, 1935 to Lawrence and Hannah (Long) Hannon. He was the beloved husband of nearly 60 years to the late Mildred June (Yetman), cherished father of Brian Hannon and his wife Melanie of Dedham, Karen Hannon of Roslindale, Mark Hannon of Norwood and Kelley Hannon of Brookline. He is also survived by his five grandchildren; Caroline, Ali, Nicholas, Lauren and Joseph. Dear brother of Edward and his wife Ronnie of West Roxbury, Paul of FL., and the late Lawrence and his surviving wife Nancy, Patricia “Patsy” Gillespie, Eileen McMillin, Lorraine Harrington and her surviving husband Paul Also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Leo was born in Mission Hill, then resided for many years in Roslindale and most recently a long-time resident of West Roxbury. A graduate of Mission High School Leo worked for The Boston Edison Company, Roche Bros. Grocery Store, West Roxbury. He served in the U.S Navy during the Korean War, he was a longtime member of the K of C Council # 3049, West Roxbury and the Boston Lodge of Elks # 10.
Besides spending time with his family, Leo had a passion for spending time in Maine, he also enjoyed spending time at the Casino and Racetrack.

Funeral from the William J. Gormley Funeral Home, 2055 Centre Street, WEST ROXBURY on Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at 9:30am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Theresa of Avila Church at 10:30. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours Tuesday, March 21st from 4:00pm to 8:00pm. Interment private. In lieu of flowers donations in Leo’s memory may be made to the Gavin Foundation of South Boston at 675 East Fourth St, 02127.
