James C. Bentley, 60, of Ty Ty passed away Saturday, March 18, 2023, at his residence. His funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 22, 2023, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Mr. Bentley will be laid to rest at a later date. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 22, 2023, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals immediately following the service.
Born August 14, 1962, in Ocilla, Mr. Bentley was the son of the late James Wilbur “J.W.” Bentley and Lydia Elizabeth Harris Bentley. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Avery Brown and Chris Brown; and one sister, Pam Howell. He was retired and he was a member of the United States Army National Guard.
Mr. Bentley is survived by his loving partner, Jon Carter Davis of Ty Ty; three brothers, Curtiss Bentley of Omega, David Brown of Ty Ty and Wilbur Bentley of Ocilla; and three sisters, Martha Ann Burke of Ty Ty, Linda McDuffie of Tifton and Jennifer Martinez of Albany.
