Mark Donald Chrzanowski
July 26, 1961-March 14, 2023
Our beloved Mark Donald Chrzanowski, age 61, of Anderson, IN, passed peacefully at home from this earth and into Our Father’s loving arms on March 14, 2023, where he was reunited with his Dad, continuing their quest to win the next big fishing tournament.
Mark was welcomed into this world on July 26, 1961 in South Bend, IN , by loving parents Thomas D. and E. Jean (Greene) Chrzanowski. In 1991 Mark joined apartment industry leader, The Gene B. Glick Company, Indianapolis, and rightly so, was extremely proud of working his way up over the past 30 plus years from maintenance technician to his current position of Compliance Manager. Mark was deeply devoted to guiding his team and sharing his expertise with others. His “work” was truly an integral part of his life bringing him immense reward. Mark found such peaceful solace at his Irish Lake home in Leesburg, IN, where he enjoyed every free moment relaxing, fishing, and pondering up at the night sky. Mark also loved to listen to music, attend concerts, and listen to audio books and old time stories on the radio. His love for “radio” goes way back to his childhood days. He also enjoyed motorcycle riding and recently treated himself to that Harley Davidson bike he had always wanted. His smile, laugh, and caring personality will be truly missed, as will his great sense of humor.
On July 22, 1989, in South Bend, IN, Mark married the love of his life, Marianne Lesicki who survives. Mark is also survived by his mother Jean, daughter Brandy (Christopher Martin) Chrzanowski , and several children he helped raise, “nephew-son” Justin Lawton, “nephew-son” Scott Sipress (Donna) and niece Lara Chairez. Mark is also survived by brother Thomas (Laura) Chrzanowski, and their children Emily and Alexander. Mark leaves behind to cherish his memory several aunts, uncles, cousins, numerous sister and brother in laws, dozens of special nieces and nephews (who always said he gave the best hugs!), and several people he was honored to call “friend”. Mark was preceded in death by his father Tom, and two brothers.
Deciding against somber services at a funeral home, Mark chose to be cremated and a Memorial Mass will take place at St. Paul of the Cross Catholic Church, Columbia City, IN, on Saturday March 25th at 11:00 a.m., with calling one hour prior. A Celebration of Life and luncheon will take place immediately after in the church hall.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Indiana, or the Madison County Humane Society, Anderson, IN, where Mark fell in love with his faithful furbaby “Sztorm”, who truly will be sad without her “Poppy”.
The family extends their sincerest thank you to the entire staff at IU Central Indiana Cancer Center, Fishers, IN, who showered Mark with the best care, kindness, and love.
Mark has been entrusted to the care of Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Services, Anderson, IN and DeMoney-Grimes Funeral Home, Columbia City, IN.
