Mrs. Margaret M. (King) Egitto, a lifelong resident of Medford and beloved wife of the late Mark A. Egitto, passed away at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital on Wednesday afternoon, March 15, 2023. She was 98 years old.
Born in Medford, Massachusetts, she was the beloved daughter of the late John and Margaret (Gilleland) King. Margaret loved playing canasta with her family and friends. She also loved to entertain her family and loved being around people. She and her husband enjoyed visiting their home in East Sandwich, especially during the summer months. She will be dearly missed.
Margaret is survived by her loving children; Peggy A. and her husband James J. Driscoll of Roslindale, Skip and his wife Lori Egitto of Medford and Christine M. and her husband Miguel Gusils of Somerville, grandchildren; Bill and his wife Meghan Calla and Michael and Joseph Egitto, great-grandchildren; April, Will Jr. and Cami Calla and many nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late John King, Dorothy Frawley and Gene King.
Her funeral will be held from the Beals-Geake-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 29 Governors Avenue, Medford on Monday, March 20, 2023, at 9 AM followed by a Mass of Christian burial celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 118 High Street, Medford at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are most welcome to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, March 19, 2023, from 4 to 8 PM. Interment will be held in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Medford.
