Obituary

Walter S. Rozmus, 78 died March 12, 2023 at Elliot Hospital following a lengthy illness.
He was born in Manchester on July 8, 1944 the son of Walter and Blanche (Mrozek) Rozmus.
He graduated from Manchester Memorial High School, class of 1962.
He proudly served his country in the U. S. Air Force.
Prior to his retirement he worked in Sales for Hallsmith Sysco.
He loved traveling and visiting to Gettysburg, PA.
He was the co-founder of Manchester Vikings football and brought Manchester its first Pop Warner National Championship. He was Manchester Memorial High School’s first quarterback, and scored the first 2 point basket for the basketball team. In his adult years he coached football for Manchester Memorial for four years and volunteered in all youth sports in Manchester, mainly Pony League baseball.
He also volunteered in Greyhound Placement Services of NH.
Family members include his wife of 33 years, Suzanne (Saykaly) Rozmus, of Bedford, one daughter, Erin Bresnahan, of Goffstown. Throughout his life he had many greyhounds as pets.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, March 16, 2023 from 4 to 7 pm at J. N. Boufford & Sons Funeral Home, 110 Bridge St.
A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday, March 17, 2023 at 10:30 am in St. Catherine of Siena Church, corner of Hemlock and Webster St.
Committal and military honors will take place in the spring.
