Adeline R. Kerrigan, age 81, of Kingston, passed away on Thursday, March 9, 2023 at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Plymouth.
Born and raised in Boston, she was the daughter of the late John J. and Antoinette (Di Natale) Kerrigan.
Addie attended St. Augustine’s Parochial School. She also graduated from Boston State Teachers College and earned her master's degree from Cambridge College.
She worked as a school teacher for the City of Brockton for 39 years prior to retirement. Addie loved reading, anything history, painting, gardening, collecting civil war memorabilia, and was obsessed with genealogy. She was also a member of the Sudbury Fyfe and Drum Company.
Miss Kerrigan will be remembered as being a kind and outgoing person who loved to tell stories and take charge.
Adeline is survived by her siblings, Patricia A. Vecchione of Brockton and Paul F. Kerrigan of Hanson; Sister-In-Law Nancy G. Kerrigan; three nephews, Ryan Kerrigan, Adam Kerrigan, and John Vecchione; and two great nieces, Isabella Vecchione and Lina Vecchione,
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Adeline’s family on Sunday, March 19, 2023 from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm, with a funeral service beginning at 1:30 pm, in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte. 123) Brockton. Interment will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Addie’s memory can be made to a charity of one’s choice and will be deeply appreciated.
