LEICESTER: Constance Marie (Desautels) Wood, age 97, went home to our Lord on January, 26, 2023.
More affectionately known as Connie, she was born in Central Falls, RI to Ida and Edmund Desautels. She is predeceased by the love of her life, John Wood. She and John were married for 67 years and lived most of their lives in Cherry Valley, MA. She worked as a secretary for many years and after retirement, she and John moved to Bonita Springs, Florida.
Connie is survived by her daughter, Linda Farrell and her husband, Thomas as well as her four sons, Gary and his wife, Keri, Craig and his wife, Lisa, Mark and his fiance, Amanda, and Dean. She is also survived by her sister, Elaine Poirier, as well as 19 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her sister, Jeanne Wood.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 18 from 9 to 10:30am in the Morin Funeral Home, 1131 Main Street, Leicester, MA, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am in St. Pius X Church, 1154 Main Street, Leicester, MA. A private burial will be held at the Bourne National Cemetery.
