Wendell Norris Giddens, 74, of Tifton passed away Tuesday, March 7, 2023, at Tift Regional Medical Center. His funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 10, 2023, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Joseph L. Crumley officiating. Mr. Giddens will be laid to rest at a later date. The family will receive friends on Friday, March 10, 2023, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of the service.
Born January 10, 1949, in Tifton, Mr. Giddens was the son of the late W.A. Giddens and Willa Mae Parrish Giddens. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Linda Stone Giddens; and one brother, Wayne Giddens. Before retiring, he was a car salesman for Tifton Motor Company. He loved to fish and hunt and he was of the Baptist faith.
Mr. Giddens is survived by three sons and two daughters-in-law, Mark Giddens and Patricia Griffin of Ocilla, Russell Kevin and Angela Giddens of Tifton and Chris Giddens of Florida; five grandchildren, Andy Giddens, Kari Giddens and Orlando Richardson, all of Tifton and Shelby White and Jonathan Horton, both of Ocilla; and two great-grandchildren, Zoey and Luna Sutton.
