Obituary

Anthony J. Leal, Jr., 49, of Woonsocket passed away Thursday March 2, 2023 in Woonsocket.
Born on May 13, 1973 in North Providence he was the son of Anthony J. Leal, Sr. and the late Donna M. Beaumier.
Known to all as Tony in his earlier years he was employed as a professional truck driver before retiring due to disability.
Tony loved to ride his motorcycle all over the place. Wherever the road took him Tony was always up for whatever adventures awaited him. Tony felt at home on the open road. Tony also took meticulous care of his truck. Every winter you could always count on Tony to be around the area snow plowing and shoveling people out. No matter what time of year, hot or cold, Tony always seemed to have a Dunkin Donuts iced coffee in his hand, it truly was his drink of choice.
Tony will be remembered as a happy and outgoing person who made friends wherever he went. Tony gave his time and love to anyone who needed it. Tony could make people laugh about anything. Tony was generous to a fault and would be the first one to help anyone in need. He would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it, that is just the kind of person Tony was.
While Tony’s family is very sad at his passing they are thankful to have had him be such a special part of their lives. They will forever cherish his memory and his legacy of love and laughter. Please honor Tony by loving and helping each other, that’s the way he would have wanted it.
Tony is survived by his children Anthony J. Leal, III (U.S.Army) and his wife Evelyn of New Hill, North Carolina, Oliver Leal of Woonsocket and Dakota Ingaran of Mansfield Center, CT. Tony was the brother of Dylan Chace of Pawtucket, Cristina Leal Evans and her husband Mike of Florida and Melissa Stebbins of Killingly, CT. Tony is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was the companion of Valerie Smith of Woonsocket.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather to honor and remember Tony at visiting hours Saturday March 11, 2023 from 2:00-5:00 pm at Menard-Lacouture Funeral Home, 127 Carrington Ave. Woonsocket. Burial will be private.
